History
At the G-Code&G-CodeNotYet-Werkschau 2026 curated by Salome Kuratli in the area of Binz in Zürich, Switzerland brushy “Motörheadz”-kits have been soldered.
The idea to mount metal-sheet-springs to motors in this way somehow came from Ralf Schreiber. In the Swiss mechatronic art society it became popular and Urban Bieri interpreted it newly with an interactive LDR-sensorelement for workshops with Actioncy GmbH.
Initially it’s only purpose was for rhythm to use in a course of the Tinguely-museum back in 2016. For the GCGCNY-Werkschau it was adjusted with more power to make it possible to draw with a pencil.
